The fund primarily aims to generate significant capital appreciation for investors over an extended timeframe. To achieve this, it commits at least 80% of its overall assets to equity instruments, predominantly common stocks, of companies engaged in the health sciences and related fields. This specialized sector encompasses a broad spectrum of businesses, such as those involved in medical equipment and supplies, healthcare service delivery, advanced biotechnology, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. The portfolio maintains a concentrated investment approach, allocating more than 25% of its holdings to these health sciences and associated industries, and it also retains the flexibility to invest in companies based outside the United States.
