The fund's main goal is to mirror the overall return performance of the S&P 500® Index, which includes factoring in dividend reinvestments from the common stocks within it. Typically, it dedicates at least 80% of its capital (including any borrowed funds used for investments) to the equities that comprise the S&P 500, aiming to replicate their relative weights as accurately as practicable. Up to 20% of its total assets may also be invested in options and futures contracts, which are utilized strategically to maintain cash levels while staying fully invested, streamline trading activities, or minimize transaction costs.
