This fund typically allocates at least 80% of its portfolio, along with any borrowed capital, to various types of fixed-income instruments. These debt holdings are comprehensive, including government-issued notes and bonds, corporate debt, securities backed by commercial and residential mortgages, other asset-backed securities, credit risk transfer securities, and money market instruments. A significant portion, specifically a minimum of 65% of its net assets, is directed towards investment-grade debt. However, the fund limits its exposure to higher-risk, speculative bonds (often referred to as "junk bonds") to a maximum of 35% of its net assets.
