Huadian Power International Corporation Limited, alongside its various subsidiaries, is primarily involved in the generation and wholesale distribution of electricity and thermal energy to power grid operators across the People's Republic of China. The company's activities further encompass the development and ongoing management of power generation facilities, including those fueled by coal and natural gas, as well as a range of renewable energy ventures. Beyond power production, it also engages in the mining, processing, and sale of coal. As of December 31, 2021, the corporation operated 42 power plants under its control, boasting a combined installed capacity of approximately 53,355.55 megawatts (MW). This capacity breakdown included roughly 42,360 MW from coal-fired units, 8,589.05 MW from gas-fired generators, and around 2,403 MW from hydroelectric installations. Huadian Power International was established in 1994 and maintains its principal office in Beijing, PRC.
