Within the Coatings division, Elementis develops and markets rheological modifiers and a range of additives tailored for industrial finishes, architectural paints, construction materials, adhesives, sealants, printing inks, colorant dispersions, and numerous specialized uses. This segment also provides bentonite and hectorite clays, along with polymer-based additives crucial for drilling, simulation, and cementing operations. The Talc segment is responsible for extracting and distributing talc, which is integral to the production of plastics, paints and coatings, food and pharmaceutical items, ceramics, polyester putties, and within the paper and pulp industries. Elementis' Chromium division manufactures a diverse array of chromium chemicals, including chromic oxide, chromic acid, chrome sulfate, sodium dichromate, and sodium sulfate. These compounds find extensive utility in areas such as pigments, cosmetics, refractories, chrome metal manufacturing, finishing processes for metals and plastics, wood treatment, leather tanning, trivalent metal finishing, various coatings, and metal passivation. Moreover, they are employed in the formulation of detergents, glasses, papers, and starches.
