Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S.A., known as Eletrobras (EBR-B), is a prominent Brazilian entity that, through its subsidiary operations, is centrally involved in the generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical power across Brazil. The company harnesses a varied energy mix, producing electricity from hydroelectric, thermal, nuclear, wind, and solar sources. As of December 31, 2021, Eletrobras's substantial assets included: 32 hydroelectric power plants, which collectively provided an installed capacity of 46,295.75 megawatts. Nine thermal power facilities, encompassing units fueled by coal, oil, and natural gas, contributing a total installed capacity of 1,505 megawatts. Two nuclear power stations: Angra I, with a 640-megawatt capacity, and Angra II, generating 1,350 megawatts.
