CEZ, a.s. is a major energy group primarily involved in the generation, distribution, trading, and retail of electricity and heat across Western, Central, and Southeastern Europe. The company's operations are structured into four main segments: Power Generation, Grid Distribution, Sales (retail and wholesale), and Mining. Within the Czech Republic, CEZ manages a diverse portfolio of power plants, including two nuclear facilities, sixteen hydroelectric installations, one combined cycle gas turbine plant, and eight traditional fossil fuel power stations.
